The Retail Mutual, the new trading name of The NFRN Mutual Ltd, has opened its doors to a wider range of independent retailers.

Regis has been managing The NFRN Mutual for over 10 years, becoming the first port of call for many high-street news retailers looking for Business, Home and Landlord Cover.

At the beginning of this year, the Board of the Mutual made the bold decision to open its doors to a wider range of independent retailers with the mission to become a one-stop-shop for the diverse cover needs of all independent retailers throughout the UK: from pubs to post offices, confectioners to clothes shops, farm shops to florists, and many more in between.

Part of this expansion saw a complete rebrand to The Retail Mutual, reflecting its bold new position at the heart of the high street, whilst remaining committed to its core membership of newsagents and convenience store owners.

Peter Wagg, the Chairman of The Retail Mutual said: “This is an exciting development for the Mutual, and is the culmination of extensive research and planning. We take great pride in the community we have built and we look forward to being able to extend this sense of community to the whole independent retail sector”.

The Retail Mutual demonstrates that group buying and adopting a sympathetic approach to claims handling can create a true sense of community that helps it to stand apart from the competition.
